On behalf of the Fortuna Theater Foundation (FTF), we are writing to request your support through a contribution to our capital campaign.
As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we rely entirely on the efforts of our volunteer board members. All proceeds from this campaign will be dedicated to our mission: to repair, revitalize, and reopen our historic Main Street theater. Our long-term vision includes expanding the facility into a versatile, multi-use venue.
The theater, constructed in 1938 in a classic Art Deco style, opened to significant community acclaim. Following decades of service, the building was forced to close in December 2022 after sustaining substantial water damage from an earthquake. Since that time, the interior has been cleared, and the sprinkler systems have been restored. With the current owner expressing a willingness to sell, we are now seeking to raise $400,000. to facilitate the purchase or lease-to-own agreement, the final terms of which are currently under negotiation.
